I use thread in my work to  incorporate colour but keep it linear

Got really sick of doing small agonizingly detailed sketches so I decided to do a big gestural drawing of them. I left it on the ground under my work because I want people to walk on it

Saw a picture of Abe Lincoln on a children's encyclopaedia yesterday and I thought to myself- he looks a lot like an ostrich...then the image of an ostrich going about it's ostrichy business with Honest Abe's head was almost worryingly clear in my mind. So I drew this thing in pencil.

This is a photo of my Mam and her twin sister Rita and I find it a tad creepy I'm not really sure why but anyway I took it combined it with the pocketwatch Mam gave me and blurred out Rita making it look ten times creepier.

Home drawings

New Brief! So we're sketching 3 different objects that remind us of home and my 3 objects are a teddy a weird looking piece of firewood and a pocketwatch. Home reminds my of my Mam and Mam's given me all these things over the years.
